Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) for Creating a New Product in DVTL

Objective: This SOP outlines the steps to create a new product in DVTL

Procedure:

Step 1: Access the Product Creation Interface

• Open DVTL and navigate to the sidebar.

• Click on "Production."

• Select "Products."

Step 2: Add Basic Product Information

• In the top-left corner, locate and click "Add Product."

• Enter the following information for the new product:

  • Product Name

  • Product Color 

  • Classification (e.g., Beer)

  • Product Style

  • ABV (Alcohol by Volume)

  • Product Description

  • IBU (International Bitterness Units)

• Once all information is entered, click "Save" in the top-right corner to save your changes.

Step 3: Add Package Item Information

• To provide additional details about the product, go to the "Product Action" drop-down.

• Select "Add Package Item."

Step 4: Enter Package Item Details

• Under "New Packaged Item," input the following information:

  • Format

  • SKU (Stock Keeping Unit)

  • Class (Packaged or Draft)

  • Deposit:

    • Single: $0.10

    • 4 pack: $0.40

    • 6 pack: $0.60

    • 12 pack: $1.20

    • 24-pack: $2.40

  • Barcode

  • Shipping Code (optional)

  • Weight (in grams):

    • 473ml can: 490g

    • 355ml can: 370g

    • 4 pack 473ml: 2kg

    • 4 pack 355ml: 1.5kg

    • 6 pack 473ml: 3kg

    • 6 pack 355ml: 2.25kg

    • 12 pack 473ml: 6kg

    • 12 pack 355ml: 4.5kg

    • 24 pack 473ml: 12kg

    • 24 pack 355ml: 9kg

    • 19.5L Keg: 23kg

    • 50L Keg: 60kg

Step 5: Verify Product Information

• On the left side of the interface, verify and enter the following details if they are not already filled in:

• SKU

• Style

• ABV

• Other relevant information

Step 6: Configure Units per Case

• Change the "Units per Case" field to the appropriate value based on the product's packaging. For example:

• 4 pack: 6

• 6 pack: 4

• Single can: 24

• Keg: 1

Step 7: Set Pricing

• Enter the pricing information for the product as necessary.

Step 8: Finalise and Save

• Review all entered information for accuracy.

• Save the changes to complete the product creation process.

Following this SOP, you can efficiently and accurately add a new product to DVTL, documenting and organising all relevant information.
